چکیده

Recent advances in molecular phylogenetics the family Convolvulaceae Juss. (particularly formerly recognized tribe Merremieae) have brought new insights on generic delimitation. Therefore, many species were transferred across genera to accommodate classification. However, additional morphological and analyses are still needed address affinities position of some included Merremia Dennst. ex Endl.s.l. allied genera. In this study, we provide a phylogenetic framework for placement Indian arrangement status doubtful distinct species. Distimake rhyncorhiza (Dalzell) A.R. Simões & Staples is proved its place Raf., while Operculina tansaensis Santapau Patel validated as from O. turpethum (L.) Silva Manso. A nomenclatural clarification misuse name “Merremia gangetica Cufod”. India provided, with an encouragement use correct emarginata (Burm.f.) Hallier f. The addition phylogeny suggests possible non-monophyly Camonea vitifolia Staples, albeit weakly supported. We provided descriptions, distribution maps notes nomenclature.

Classification of Convolvulaceae: A Phylogenetic Approach

Because recent molecular studies, based on multiple data sets from all three plant genomes, have indicated mutually congruent, well-resolved, and well-supported relationships within Convolvulaceae (the morning-glory family), a formal reclassification of this family is presented here. Convolvulaceae, a large family of worldwide distribution, exhibiting a rich diversity of morphological character...

New species of Ipomoea (Convolvulaceae) from South America

The importance of discovering, describing and cataloguing poorly known species in herbarium collections is discussed. It is a spur to efforts at rediscovery and consequent conservation efforts. The problems faced in describing species from limited material are discussed and our methods and criteria in making a decision are described. Prospects for future novelties are briefly assessed. Fifteen ...

Molecular Phylogenetic and Morphological Evidence Supports Recognition of Gereaua, a New Endemic Genus of Sapindaceae from Madagascar.

A recent worldwide phylogeny of Sapindaceae inferred from nuclear and plastid DNA regions segregated the Malagasy Haplocoelum perrieri Capuron from the African Haplocoelum foliosum (Hiern) Bullock. Additional phylogenetic analyses conducted here (including material of Haplocoelum inopleum Radlk., the generic type) supported the result from the previous analysis and showed that maintaining a bro...
